So lately I’ve been getting kind of tired of wearing the same boots out every single day. Where I live it’s cold out right now, really cold. The only thing I can wear in this type of temperature are boots. But looking at these old troopers are putting me in a rut, it’s clearly time for a well needed change. Honestly, it is very difficult to find some good high quality stuff nowadays without getting into debt. It seems like everything sucks or is straight up made like crap. All the good stuff is way over priced and completely out of many people’s budget. So what are we to do, freeze? Luckily I found a great alternative to this conundrum- Sorel Boots for Men. Yep, this label has been gathering a lot of buzz lately due to their very high standards in footwear. They make anything for almost all occasions and out of really high quality stuff. They truly are guaranteed to last and their range of extremely high quality rubber and leather range from low a $100 to a mid range $180. For those of you that say that is not that cheap, well my friend try going out and getting a cheap boot. See how long it lasts you before you have to go out and buy the same one again. You’ll be surprised to find that most of these boots won’t last you the season. That’s the type of stuff we put into consideration when recommending a boot.

I got the Mad Boot Lace in a Chocolate-colored leather for Christmas from Herr, I must say I’m delighted with them. Every time I slip them on, it’s truly a very comforting feeling. It does not make my foot sweat, which is a recurring problem for most men, and the inside is really comfortable so the bridge of my foot doesn’t strain after spending half the day walking. The boot is really light, which wasn’t something I was expecting given that the boot looks like its made out of concrete and mortar from the gods. It’s built like a tank but weighs nothing like one which is a very high positive. I hate boots that make me work out when walking down the block for some milk. I mean really, If I wanted to work out I would not have bought boots. Oh, did I say that they’re water proof?

They also have this design which they call the Caribou, I didn’t buy or get this one but I have seen itin person and tried it on. First and foremost it is a very nice looking boot. But, and it’s a pretty big “But”, it looks exactly like the Bean Boot which I recommended not that long ago. And unfortunately it isn’t built the same way though. It costs about $10 more than the Bean Boot and looks like a cheaper knockoff. I’d pass on this and get the L.L. Bean one.

Finally the Kitchner Frost… this is amazing. Seriously, I don’t say this a lot about things but this boot is absolutely amazing. It’s really high, durable, waterproof, warm, etc. I mean this thing probably comes with a coffee maker attached to it too if you’d let it. At $185, it’s an amazing value for the money, let’s just put it this way, this is the type of boot that guys wear when visiting the arctic… ’nuff said!
