We barely have a month left to go in this beautiful and sometimes scorching Summer season. Going out with some friends and enjoying the great weather doesn’t mean you have to look like the heat is getting to you. Funny enough, for those of you that sweat a lot and hate wearing clingy, heavy clothing in the summer there are other lighter breathable fabrics out there. Not every shirt has to be made out of cotton and have sleeves you know. Note that these suggestions I’ve selected are merely just that, suggestions. These pieces encapsulate what is trending now for men and are not to be worn all together. They are meant to be worn with pieces that you already own in order to express your own personal styling. Here I’ve listed the top trends for late Summer BBQ’s and get togethers. Stay cool.

Urban Outfitters $78.00

The Levis 511 Commuter Pant comes in a dark rinse and a khaki light rinse and gives you a ton of options. Where regular denim ends, the commuter pant takes control. As its name suggests this pant is meant for those on the move, specially with bikes. It also allows you to easily fold up your right leg sleeve so that it does not interfere with your bike chain. It gives you the option of carrying about your bike lock with you in your back pocket for ease of transportation. If there ever was a stylish bike pant, here it is. Made out of stretchable denim fabric, it gives when you need it to, for optimal biking performance. At a stiff  but affordable $78 dollars, it really isn’t a bad investment for someone going out for a stroll in the park either.

ASOS Man $143

The ASOS Khaki Suit is specifically here for those more formal events. Made out of a strict breathable fabric, it allows you a better range of motion so that you do not sit and sweat with the Summer weather. Stylishly elegant this suit fits like a glove, on most; it really streamlines your shape to not only make you appear thinner but also taller. The finish on the jacket stops sweat from showing up -shielding you from potential embarrassment.

ASOS Man $22

ASOS Man Rubber Sole Boat Shoes are less than $25. No seriously, where else can you find a pair of decent shoes for less than a dinner at Applebee’s? I will say here that these shoes are extremely comfortable and they will age well. The manner in which shoes age is as important as how they fit you. You have to take into consideration that a shiny new pair of shoes will not look like you got them out of the box a year from now. So with that in mind, a nice pair of cloth shoes such as these have to be able to rip (correctly of course) in a stylish manner and in a way that won’t leave you barefoot in the middle of Broadway. So shoes rip? Yes, shoes rip. Cloth shoes, such as these and Vans, should leave small rip holes all around to give it that necessary character that most seek, these shoes do it!

ASOS Man $43.10

Right! Sin Star Navy Striped Tank, look like a Frenchman in the Riviera. A great look to have in the Summer, more men should wear proper tanks. Made out of cotton, completely breathable and sturdy so that it does not lose its shape. It also does not choke out your armpits as most tanks tend to do which almost always makes wearing tanks uncomfortable. Wear with dark jeans and the boat shoes to give a very relaxed lived-in look that’s very in now a days. Tanks also give you the best defense against sweating in the Summer as they have no sleeves. No sleeves you say? Won’t I look ridiculous? Well yes and no. It all depends on how you wear it. I’m sure there are a ton of stuff out there that will make you look ridiculous if you’re wearing a dress along with it. Make sure it’s a thick fabric – this will give it better form and shape rather than a thin cotton tank that will show the most undesirable curves. Proper sizing is a must, the smaller you go the more you show. A smaller size does not make you look like you’re in shape, that’s what the gym is for.

TopMan $220

Bass Weejuns “Larson” Penny Loafers, they are coming back. Most of you out there (including me) did not grow up in the age of the penny loafers. The 1950′s were hit with the penny loafer wave and it lasted till a couple years ago, as most kids were forced to wear these as proper Sunday school attire. Penny loafers are coming back though in a very stylish way. You slip them on with a high white tube sock just as the kids in yesteryear. The shinier the better so you better use some elbow grease and shine them spot clean. Something great to wear with these are high ankle revealing jeans and chinos, for that really vintage look. The Beebop Camel Baseball Jacket is a great selection to pair with this 1950′s revival. Something to just throw on in the upcoming cooler Summer nights. Pompadour hairstyle variations and Psychobilly Punk music are always optional of course.
